Handwritten notes are especially important in days like these. It is a personal communication between all the noise of the news and junk mail we receive on a daily basis. It lets you reach out to those you love and miss as a special “I’m thinking of you” message which goes beyond that Facebook post or quick text.

I’m a big fan of buying local and came across this little shop that does custom, handmade cards at a very reasonable price.

Among the many card designs, there is a spot on the back of each one to write your name so it looks like you were to person who created the card which is a great touch for your handwritten notes!

I am personally out of blank note cards at this moment. I took what I had and wrote cards for some residents at a local retirement village. With the elderly especially at a higher risk, loneliness is a real struggle. Getting a card even from a complete stranger can be that bright light in their day. There are many organizations out there who specialize on getting cards into the hands of people in need so maybe do a google search and see if there is one locally for you to write. The one in my area is called Love for the Elderly and have been featured on the local news. What a great concept!
