Summer Travel

With many of us looking for something to do this summer, there are still options out there. Yes, travel rules and regulations are changing daily right now so I am not going to get into that but I will reveal some ideas that will be helpful for your planning assistance.

Many people are still nervous about taking a flight even with the low rates we are seeing across the board. Driving is a very popular option but keep in mind that at many resorts, there are valet and parking fees so make sure you add those into your budget.

There are many places within driving distance from your home. If you have free time and a physical map of our beautiful country, find a location about 6-8 hours from your home and then draw a circle in that radius. That is a lot of space for you to discover some place new and exciting!

Some resorts have private villas or residences which will help with social distancing. You and your loved ones can have a personal space with your own kitchen and other amenities. This helps with distancing in a normal situation like elevators or hotel hallways that you may come into contact with other vacationers.

Many people will have questions about how hotels and resorts are working to keep their guests safe while visiting. Feel free to call the property and talk to someone there. Many websites may not have all the information you are looking for because of the rules constantly changing.

Want a better option? Call your travel advisor! They are up to date on options that will be great fit for your vacation. From a romantic getaway to that yearly family vacation, they will be able to find the perfect getaway we all so desperately need right now.
